LITTLE ROCK, AR - State Senator Jason Rapert (R-Conway) posted on his Facebook page Friday night that his “family will be in prayer about running” for the office of Lt. Governor.

Rapert’s post is in response to a Facebook group called “Draft Jason Rapert for Lt. Governor.” Rapert was the sponsor of the 12-week “fetal heartbeat” abortion ban, which at the time it was passed was the most restrictive abortion ban in America.

Full statement from Rapert:

I appreciate the confidence you have in me. We began our public service in 2010, giving everything we have to represent our constituents and champion the values, principles and reforms that will make Arkansas one of the best places to live, work and raise a family in our nation. Our family will be in prayer about running for this office and seek direction on what the people of Arkansas would have us to do. Again, thank you for your confidence in me, it is humbling.

Had to sign in for this one. First; my opinion of politicians is pretty low; hard to imagine any that have God's best interests at heart. Second; judging by the first 3 posts - Plant and Company may be right - "Lot's of people talking, few of them know, the soul of a woman was created below". If you are pro-choice ( legal murder in other words ); laugh it up come Judgment Day!

When a politician starts praying to the invisable guy in the sky we are all in trouble.

Laughs. He's forgetting that the majority of Arkansans are pro-choice and that females legally rule.
