University of Arkansas basketball signee Bobby Portis has recently been named to several prestigious events including the 2013 McDonald's All-American game.

Portis, a 6-9 forward from Little Rock, is one of 24 players named to the two teams and becomes just the 12th player to commit or play for Arkansas to participate in the contest.

The last Razorback to be named to the team was Olu Famutimi in 2003 and he joined a list that included Derek Hood (1995), Kareem Reid (1994), Darnell Robinson (1993), Corliss Williamson (1992), Lee Mayberry (1988), Todd Day (1988), Ron Huery (1986), Andrew Lang (1984), Joe Kleine (1980) and Ricky Norton (1980).

The McDonald's All-American game is scheduled for April 3 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
Along with his inclusion in the McDonald's game, Portis was also one of 22 players chosen to play in the Jordan Brand Classic high school basketball all-star showcase. That contest is scheduled for April 13 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and he was also selected to join USA Basketball's 2013 USA Junior National Select team for the 16th Annual Nike Hoop Summit. That contest is slated for April 20 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.
