FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - There's no question that Texas A&M is on Arkansas' 2012 football schedule but where the game will be played remained an open question on Wednesday.
The Aggies, who with Missouri will be in the Southeastern Conference next season, have Arkansas as a home opponent. Arkansas and Texas A&M have played the last three seasons at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Arkansas said in a news release Wednesday that announced 11 of the Razorbacks' 12 games for the coming year that the Aggies haven't yet determined whether to host the game in College Station or again play at Arlington.
Also undecided is which two games Arkansas will play at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium.
Customarily, the season-ending game with LSU is played in Little Rock when it's Arkansas' turn to host, with Mississippi State filling the slot in recent opposite years.
With Texas A&M moving to the SEC, that opened a slot on the nonconference schedule that the Razorbacks haven't yet filled.
"Unfortunately there are still several issues to be resolved in our 2012 football schedule, but we wanted to get as much information to our fans as possible so they may begin planning for next season," athletic director Jeff Long said.
"We are pleased to have at least seven home games and possibly eight as part of a very competitive 2012 football schedule."
Long said the school is working with the league office on future conference schedules. Because Texas A&M and Missouri were added, the league was later than usual in developing its league schedule for the now 14-team conference.
"The delay in the distribution of the conference schedule greatly impacted our ability to finalize our non-conference schedule. Completing the 2012 football schedule has been a challenge," Long said.
The Razorbacks have Sept. 22 and Oct. 20 as open dates, one of which the school would like to fill with a nonconference game.
