LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Razorbacks will kick off at their second home in Little Rock Saturday. Road Hogs, like Don Hinkle, started arriving Thursday.
"We get here early so we can get a good spot," said Hinkle.
But this year, the Road Hogs are at Ricks Armory because of construction at the old Ray Winder Baseball Field. Hinkle says even though they are farther away from the stadium, his focus remains on the team.
"I think we are going to have a great game. I think we will have another game to build on and get the team gelling I hope," said Hinkle.
Hog fans are also claiming spaces closer to the stadium, like Jay Dehaven and his wife Ashley. They usually set up on Friday, but not this year.
"Ashley just happened to be out here for a class at (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) and said (people) are already taking our spaces. So we just loaded our stuff up and came on out," said Dehaven.
For him, getting the best space now guarantees a good tailgate on Saturday.
"We will probably be here about one o'clock, fire up the grill, serve some burgers and marinated chicken sandwiches," said Dehaven.
The Hogs kick off against University of Louisiana-Monroe at 6 p.m. on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium
