Red Cross Busy Helping People Displaced From Weekend Fires

Red Cross volunteers responded to 30 fires around the state since Friday.
WEST LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Beginning Friday, firefighters across the state battled 30 fires.

While firefighters put out the blazes, Red Cross volunteers are there to help the people impacted by the disaster.

Folks with the Red Cross say that's more than what they're used to, but they're still prepared to help.

Volunteers give victims food, clothes and help them with a place to stay temporarily.

So, they could use a little support too.

Shana Beal with the American Red Cross said, "We help with any type of disaster from typical house fires to flooding and tornadoes. Funds help support relief efforts and we always need more volunteers."
