LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Congressman Mike Ross says he's not reconsidering his decision to not run for governor in 2014 after Attorney General Dustin McDaniel admitted an inappropriate relationship. But the retiring Democratic lawmaker wouldn't completely close the door on the idea.

Ross told The Associated Press he hasn't thought again about a run for the state's top office, but wouldn't rule out the possibility. Ross noted he's 51 and said, "never say never."

McDaniel is a Democrat and the only announced candidate for governor. He said Tuesday that he had an inappropriate relationship with a Hot Springs attorney, but isn't dropping out of the race.

Ross in May said he wouldn't run for governor. Ross said he still plans on starting work with the Southwest Power Pool Inc. after leaving office in January.
