Sheriff’s Office asks for charges related to threatening post

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for felony charges to be filed against a man for a threatening post on Facebook.

According to the sheriff’s office, 33-year-old Montrell Wine made a post threatening to kill a K-9 Handler who works with the office. You can see the post attributed to Wine on the left, edited for content.

The specific charge requested of prosecutors is be first degree terroristic threatening. If charged and convicted, Wine would face up to 6 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

The sheriff’s office says post was made on October 20th.

Fox 16 has reached out to Wine through Facebook for comment. He has not yet replied. According to his page, he is from Pine Bluff but currently living in Dallas.

Awake on what? After reading your post on the other story, doubt you'll be laughing at all come Judgment Day. Unless you bring Him into your life. If you've been reading these posts for years ( I've only been doing this for a few months ), you'd know I trash ignorance, regardless of race. And this guy's grammar and spelling show ignorance. So does threatening someone for all the world to see.

I don't think freedom of speech includes threatening to kill someone. 1gmama; that was a hard read, wasn't it! Butch had the best comment; one on one, and go from there if you've a bone to pick. This day and age, I would take that threat serious as well. There are way to many nutcases out there that may act on their thoughts and actually go kill the person. This idiot should be held accountable for what he said. If they just let this go, it will open the door for many other nuts to try it. Also, if they let this go and this idiot does indeed try to kill the officer, or someone else, they would be to blame for letting the first threat go by.
