Six deaths reported in Arkansas from West Nile virus

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas Department of Health is reporting 6 deaths from the West Nile virus, 48 total infections state wide.
How to protect yourself from the West Nile virus
- Drain standing water from your yard. Empty standing water in flowerpots, buckets and kiddie pools.
- Don’t go out at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes feed without protective clothing.
- Do use insect repellents with the active ingredient DEET when you go outdoors.
