LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A spring storm dumped heavy rain across Arkansas on Saturday, downing trees and causing flash flooding in already saturated areas.
The National Weather Services issued flash flood watches for the northern half of the state, and severe thunderstorm watches and warnings for the southern part.
Flooding was reporting on Grand Avenue and Airport Road in Hot Springs, and on Springtown Road in Malvern.
Severe weather brought hail and high winds to southern Arkansas. Entergy Arkansas had more than 1,500 customers without electricity Saturday night, down from about 3,600 early that afternoon.
