State Police Investigating DEA-Involved Shooting

State Police say no one was hurt in Augusta shooting.
AUGUSTA, AR -- State police are investigating a shooting that happened along the main drag in Augusta.

Witnesses say they heard shots fire from the Dollar General parking lot on Highway 64 around 6:00 Thursday night.

A State Police spokesman would only say they're investigating a shooting involving DEA agents in which no one was hurt.

But an eyewitness says he saw what happened.

Brenden May said, "When we were packing up our groceries at Country Mart and we heard like a firecracker or something like that and then we looked where it was and saw shots being fired at this one vehicle."

The witness says the agents chased the suspect and later arrested him nearby on Spruce Street.
