WYNNE, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Police says five people were wounded during a weekend shooting at a city park in Wynne while city officials have not returned phone calls seeking comment.

State Police spokesman Bill Sadler told the Times-Herald that the shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Saturday at E.U. Deshay Park in Wynne and an investigator was sent to assist with interviews - but Wynne police are leading the investigation.

The newspaper reported Monday that Wynne Police Chief Jeff Sanders and Mayor Bob Stacy did not return phone calls seeking comment.

State police say the five victims ranged from 18- to 26-years-old and all were treated and eventually released from local and area hospitals.

Another case for gun control; being able to hit your target! Two idiots shooting at each other, and hitting 5 innocent people instead of each other! What a couple of morons. Hope they catch them soon.
