WYNNE, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Police says five people were wounded during a weekend shooting at a city park in Wynne while city officials have not returned phone calls seeking comment.
State Police spokesman Bill Sadler told the Times-Herald
that the shooting occurred about 4 p.m. Saturday at E.U. Deshay Park in Wynne and an investigator was sent to assist with interviews - but Wynne police are leading the investigation.
The newspaper reported Monday that Wynne Police Chief Jeff Sanders and Mayor Bob Stacy did not return phone calls seeking comment.
