This evening a strong cold front will approach our northern border. Meanwhile, out ahead of the front, we'll see scattered showers and thunderstorms develop in West Central Arkansas. Further into the overnight hours these storms will lose their punch but they will still aim for Central Arkansas.

The cold front will linger over Southern Arkansas tomorrow and give us around round of thunderstorms near Little Rock and south of I-40. The rain chances will linger into the first half of the weekend before the frontal boundary washes out over the state.

Overall, this active pattern will lead to rainfall totals ranging from a quarter inch to possibly over an inch in some areas. Be sure to keep it tuned to FOX 16 News for the latest breaking news from the weather department.

willyhemakeit; Very good! The words you speak of - very common mistakes on here, see 'em all the time. I've even been guilty of leaving a letter out of a word. Sometimes when I type, and others have mentioned the same problem with this website, the letter doesn't appear when typed, and in our haste, it goes unnoticed. I try to proofread most of the time, but sometimes don't. As for your other comments - very good also! Haven't seen your moniker before, welcome aboard the crazy train!

jwlonokeCo: Your comment: "their" ought to be a button to use. The proper use of "there" and "their" is important too. I also see a lot of "where" in the place of "were". Josef Stalin once said "to take over America the communists would have to control education, undermine religion, and take over one of the political parties". It is very obvious that the "progressive" left has control of the Democrat party.

mapleman, don't you hate it when you criticize their bad spelling or grammar, and they fix it? Their ought to be a button to use - we correct their grammar, we get paid proofreader fees. I bet they'd learn to use a spell- and grammar-checker.
