TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - Strong winds, hail and heavy rain pelted southwest Arkansas as a line of storms that spun tornadoes in Texas moved into the state.

The National Weather Service posted severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday that stretched from Texarkana to Umpire to El Dorado. A tornado warning covered parts of Miller and Lafayette counties but there was no confirmation of a touchdown.

A tree fell onto a home in Miller County, but Emergency Management Director Larry Pritchett says his office had received no immediate reports of injuries. Trees also had fallen onto power lines, knocking out power in Fouke, and Pritchett said some trees blocked roads in Howard, Miller and Sevier counties.

About 350 Entergy Arkansas customers were without power, and around 60 Oklahoma Gas and Electric customers in Arkansas had no electricity.
