PULASKI COUNTY, AR -- Our military heroes will be getting some warm holiday mail from elementary students in central Arkansas.

Students at two schools in the Pulaski County Special School District made cards that will go to the brave men and women who are in the hospital.

The creative students used construction paper and colors to design the cards.

They tell us they hope their cards will bring the patients back to health.

"I think it's important to make Christmas cards for them so they can feel loved and they can feel happy for Christmas," said Tania Kelley.

"We need to make them feel proud for what they do since they don't get to go home and see their friends and loved ones," Dylan Chapman said.

This "Holiday Mail for Heroes" campaign is headed by the American Red Cross.

Four PCSSD schools will participate in this campaign.
