With heads bowed in prayer, the Central High School Tiger football team mourns former player Terry Bullard who was shot and killed over the weekend just days after graduation.

Police found Bullard's body in the parking lot behind Medium's Night Club just after 1:00am Saturday morning. They're still looking for a suspect.

"We all want to know what happened," said Bullard's friend junior Byron Maler. "Why'd he do it? Why'd the person would do it whoever did it."

Maler was the first to call head coach Scooter Register.

"There are a lot of things that are harder in life than losing a football game, preparing for a football game, and this is one of them," said Register.

But this shooting goes well beyond Central High School. Rev. Benny Johnson is on board with his Stop the Violence campaign to find justice for the 18-year-old.

"I'm just asking and pleading - I'm actually begging the community to come and let us know who did this," said Johnson.

As Bullard's friends and teammates wait for a resolution, they vow to honor their friend by playing harder than ever.

"It's going to be my motivation," said Maler. "Every day and every play I'm going to think about Big T."

"Football, you get knocked down. You've got to get back up," said Register. "In life, you get knocked down, so today the Tigers are getting back up."

Because without a suspect in their friend's murder, right now being with each other is the only comfort this team can find.

Why was he at a club in the first place? That's my first question. He was only 18 or 19 years old. Why haven't that club been shut down by now?

I firmly believe I can look at a person smiling or not and tell you what kind of attitude and personality they have...This young man has the look of a sweet man. R.I.P. May the uncivilized freak that killed him get whats coming to him. God Bless this family.
