Officials Team Up to Promote Safety on River Trail

In honor of National Safety Month, officials are coming together to promote safety on the Arkansas River Trail.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR- In honor of National Safety Month, the City of North Little Rock and the Arkansas River Trail Task Force are teaming up for a River Trail Safety Celebration on Saturday, June 29th.  National Safety Month is an annual observance to educate and influence behaviors around leading causes of preventable injuries and deaths.

The City and the ART Task Force saw National Safety Month as a prime opportunity to promote safe behaviors along the Arkansas River Trail. The Arkansas River Trail is an increasingly popular attraction for walkers, joggers, runners and cyclists.  As a mixed use venue, it's important that users adopt safety basics in order to avoid injuries and accidents.
NLR Fit 2 Live, ART Task Force volunteers, the NLR Fire Department Bike Team, NLR League Cycling Instructors, and others will be located at popular points along the trail, giving away fun rewards for safe behavior and sharing valuable safety tips.
