Tattoo shop offers big Razorback discount ahead of L.S.U. game

When Zach Reynolds shows up at his mom's house in Sheridan for Thanksgiving, he plans on showing her, for the very first time, just how big a Hogs fan he is.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - "Nobody in my family has a tattoo," explained Zach Reynolds before continuing, "at least that I know of."

That is -- until now. When Reynolds shows up at his mom's house in Sheridan for Thanksgiving, he plans on showing her, for the very first time, just how big a Hogs fan he is.

"She knows about it," Reynolds said while getting an Arkansas Razorback tattoo on his leg. "I prepped her for it so we don't have a Thanksgiving day heart attack."

So why get the tattoo now, less than 24-hours before seeing tons of tattoo-less family?

"I'm a bargain hunter," Reynolds answered. "This is like Black Friday on tattoos right here."

Here's the deal: the Empire of Ink tattoo shop in Little Rock decided to offer a Razorback tattoo for $20 -- that's about an $80 discount -- during the weeks leading up to the Alabama game and the upcoming L.S.U. game. So far, around 100 Razorback fans have taken manager John Rheaume up on his offer.

"People just don't get tattoos for, well I guess they do get them for the fun of it," said Rheaume, "but for the most part these are real die hard Razorback fans that are getting these."

So long story short, it's an offer Reynolds -- and apparently dozens of other hogs fans -- just couldn't turn down. As far as his mom goes, he plans to show her his new tattoo Thursday night, but thanks to her news preference -- that might be a little late.

"She watches Fox16 so she'll be watching," said Reynolds. "Thanksgiving might be rough tomorrow. It might be a lot of quiet dinner time tomorrow."

Empire of Ink will be closed Thanksgiving day and Friday. They will, however, reopen on Saturday, the last day you can get their $20 Razorback tattoo special.
