Thanksgiving is supposed to be one of the busiest travel days of the season but the down economy is taking a big bite out of airport business.
The Air Transport Association says Turkey Day air travel is down at least five percent nationwide.
It could be more in Little Rock.
That's ok for Wendy Dabbous. “Works well, smooth, we've never had a problem flying out of Little Rock," she said.
She's from Memphis, so she's taking on the roads and the airports this year. "Whatever is easiest, I don't mind driving but you don't want to spend your whole day on the road, so we do a little mixture."
Little rock national recently increased curbside check-in to make it easier for those who are flying. "It's always perfect out here. I haven't gone inside yet but it's nice out here," says traveler Jo Herring.
Inside the lines are not too long and you will have to look hard to find flight delays. In large part there are fewer flights and airlines are discounting deeper
Last year the day before Thanksgiving was actually the 36th busiest travel day of the year.
Pre-Christmas travel and summer travel far outpace Thanksgiving numbers.
