Thousands of students gathered around the flag poles of their schools to pray before class Wednesday. It's a national movement known as "See You at the Pole." FOX16 went to Little Rock Christian where students prayed for their school, their community, and their country.

"God, I pray for these students here, to lead this school," said Jay Williams.

"I pray that you will be with us Lord. Be close; draw nearer to us, Lord," said another student.

An hour and a half before the first class bell. Little Rock Christian students brought their hopes, praises, and prayers to the pole.

"God, I pray you would be at the front of everything this country does, Lord," said Katelyn Parker.

The event was organized by students and led by students.

"We have to be examples for you," said Parker. "I pray you would give us strength to do that. God, sometimes it's hard to do that even at a Christian school."

"See You at the Pole" brings thousands of students together at their flag pole to pray for their school and whatever is on their hearts.

"It's really great to have all students get together in Little Rock, Arkansas and nationally," said Katelyn Parker.

"See You at the Pole" is so popular, students are organizing more early morning student-led prayer meetings. "See You at the Pole" started at just three Texas churches in 1990. Since then it has spread nationwide and grown to an estimated three million students today.
