It's Toy Hill weekend at War Memorial, and that means it's time for you to get into the holiday spirit by donating to Toys for Tots.
Toy Hill will help thousands of Arkansas families hit hard by the recession put toys under the tree this year. "Last year, we didn't have as big need, but this year I have over 20,000 Arkansas children that are in need for Christmas this year," says Staff Sergeant Sidney Joiner with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
Jimmy Raney donates to Toys for Tots every year. "We don't have any children at home, and the Lord has been good to us, and it makes you feel good," says Raney.
Giving a toy is really easy. You just drive up, drop it off and put it in the truck. You don't even have to get out of the truck. Military members will take the toy from you, and they're happy to help.
"Even though times are tough, the people are still coming out and donating toys," says Joiner.
