LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two people lost their lives on wet roads in separate accidents Saturday. One was in Garland County another in neighboring Hot Spring County.

33 year old David White of Hot Springs Village died just after 8:00am. Arkansas State Police say the car he was driving westbound on Highway 70 in Garland County, apparently crossed the centerline striking an eastbound van. The driver of the van, 32 year old Zachary Ayres of Hot Springs was also injured. No word yet on his condition.

21 year old April Russo of Alvin, Texas, died in a separate crash on Interstate 30 around 5:00am, Saturday. State Police reports say Russo’s car was eastbound, left the Interstate and struck a tree near the 83 mile marker, in Hot Spring County. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Such a waste! RIP young people -- has anyon else noiced how dangerous the roads are because they are to narrow for the width of the vechicles lately and the big trucks and trailers- I'm driving a mid size and you can barely flinch - without being in the other lane!
