WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Mike Ross (AR-04) issued the following statement today in response the damage caused by a devasting tornado that hit the town of Mena on April 9, 2009. Ross represents Polk County in the U.S. House of Representatives and held a town hall forum in the city of Mena just hours before the storm hit.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Mena and Polk County as they recover from this devasting storm, especially to those who were injured and to the families who lost loved ones,” said Ross. “I will do all I can to ensure city and county officials have the resources they need to resume operations and rebuild their town. I also ask that everyone in our congressional district pray for the people of Mena as they rebuild their lives, their homes, and their businesses.”
