UAMS Preemies Reunion

UAMS Preemies Reunion

Families of babies born early at the Little Rock hospital reunite with staff.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A special reunion in Little Rock brings babies born early at UAMS and hospital staff back together again.

The children and their families visited with their former doctors and nurses.

The free event welcomed the former patients treated in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Kids got their faces painted, met clowns and even played with some animals.

"It is great because we get to see our nurses and the doctors that took care of us and also at the same time with me working in the NICU and I get to see my past patients and how big they've grown," says preemie mom Adriane Jack.

This is the second year for the event, which gives UAMS staff the chance to reconnect with their tiniest of patients.
