If they truly wanted a "safe walk", they would allow adults going to college to carry. Haven't some colleges started doing this? Imagine some mugger or rapist coming out of the bushes, or from around a dark corner, and getting his "brain?" scattered all over the place! I'll bet that would cut down on violent crime on campuses.
