LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man suspected of robbing the Centennial Bank in Little Rock Tuesday has turned himself in to police.

James Meeks, 26, was taken into custody around 2:25pm at 65th and Lancaster Streets after he called police.

Meeks is charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Police say Meeks, along with two other men, entered the Centennial Bank on South Broadway Street in Little Rock around 10:30 on Tuesday morning. Armed with at least two guns, they hopped over the counter, and took handfuls of cash from the drawers.

The investigation is ongoing.

Jaywatts... What are you saying??? If we know James Meeks or if we do not know James Meeks is irrelevant... James Meeks is an accessory to a crime... Why should he not be held responsible for his actions???

To all of you people that don't know James Meeks, and aren't aware of all the details, it would behoove you to keep your mouths shut! I've known him since he was 12 years old, and he's never even hurt a fly. If any of you want to know the truth for yourselves, just look at the actual video images from the robbery, Ray Charles could see that that wasn't Mr. Meeks. How many innocent people have been accused of being guilty before they are even given a trial, to only later find out that that person was actually innocent? Keep your head up D! Your family in Texarkana love you man and we know the truth!

If I did it I'd never turn myself in. I'd fight it to the end. I never do anything I don't think I can win at.

Well, his new found wealth didn't last very long. His buddies must have given him the shaft.
