PULASKI COUNTY, AR - Investigators are still looking for clues in the pond not far from the Sweet Home community cemetery where police say the body of 20-year-old Patricia Guardado was found Sunday afternoon.

"We are doing what we can to assist Little Rock Police,” Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay said. “We sent out our dive team back in the water to look for evidence and we will assist as needed to try to find the person or persons responsible for this lady's death."

Detectives don't have much information to go on.

"We're looking for things close to the body,” Lt. Carl Minden of Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said. “Things that could possibly relate to the victim, those types of things that haven't been in the water very long."

Guardado’s car was found Wednesday near the UALR campus behind the Burger King on University, but she never made it to class.

"I encourage anyone that may have been in the area of burger king Wednesday morning that may have seen Miss Guardado to contact us," Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police said.

Investigators are keeping what little information they do have quiet hoping it could lead to a suspect.

"Frankly, the individuals involved know these details and it helps us to be able to confirm information that comes in," Lt. Hastings said.

"We need to find the person or persons responsible for this lady's death." Sheriff Holladay said.

"We're not going to stop until we find out who did this,” Martin Guardado, Patricia’s brother said. “We'll do whatever it takes."

This is a statement from the Chancellor of UALR saying “the worst fears have come true and their hearts and prayers go out to the family.”

A rosary service is being held Monday night at 8pm at St. Edward's Church in Little Rock. Tuesday, UALR is planning a candlelight vigil on campus at 7pm.
