LITTLE ROCK, AR - Little Rock police officers thought they'd caught one of three suspected bank robbers, but it turns out -- they had the wrong guy.
Explained Sgt. Cassandra Davis, "behind the scenes we are receiving information as to possible descriptions so we do make contact with individuals matching that description and try to ascertain why they're in the area and what role, if at all, they played in the crime."
In this case the man played no role in the crime, so police cut him loose. Since then, they got pictures of three suspects from bank surveillance cameras and are looking for all three men.
"They did display a weapon so we consider them armed and dangerous," Davis said.
Police say the men entered the Centennial Bank on South Broadway Street in Little Rock around 10:30 Tuesday morning. Armed with at least two guns, they hopped over the counter, and took handfuls of cash from the drawers. Police say it's unusual to have three men rob a bank -- usually it's just one person, maybe two. Now they're hoping someone recognizes the men in the surveillance camera pictures and calls police.
"We're hoping if they live here in the area that somebody will be able to identify them," said Davis.
