STUTTGART, AR – A two block radius around 3rd and Leslie in Stuttgart was evacuated for a short time Friday afternoon while the bomb squad removed some explosives.

Stuttgart Police say 3 military grade explosives were found in a shed that was being torn down. Police say the explosives were old, possibly from the Vietnam era.

The bomb squad removed the explosives and will take them to the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville where they will be destroyed.

There was a short update on this story aired at the end of that night. It advised it wasn't even live explosives, but rather empty cardboard containers. Did anyone else see this?
