LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas State Police say that Tuesday morning’s fatal accident on I-630 was caused when a wheel fell off of a van going west and went into the eastbound lanes.

The victim has been identified as Peter Gee, 52 of Little Rock. Gee was driving eastbound in a Hyundai when the wheel bounced over the center wall and hit his windshield. Gee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Van that lost its wheel was 56-year-old Katherine Williams of Scott. She was not injured in the crash.

Don't think you could pass the exam for the spelling police. The word I is always capitalized. Sentences always start with a capital letter. You might want to brush up on that before taking the exam!

Dude; I know there is no love lost between us. I reckon our "friendship" goes back to you hating cops, and me defending them if memory serves me right. I own land and a home here; not the bank, not a mortgage company, or anyone else. So I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Might move back to Tucson when I get my inheritence; who knows. I will say there would probably be more votes for you to use the Interstate than me. About the only people that like cop haters are criminals, thugs, and people that have been locked up. And I've yet to see anyone on this forum spell every single word correctly. You, me, and everyone else does it on occasion. Or omits a letter here and there. Peace out Dude.

Arkansas Yankee it would be easier and a whole lot shorter story if you would tell us the things you ain't done and the places you ain't been to and seen...... Shameless what exactly is "vehicular homoside"??? you have to be careful because i am looking to sign on with the spelling police...... the wreck was caused by a flying tire from another vehicle. they have not shared who was at fault for the flying tire be it the owner,a mechanic or the manufacturer. all that ranting and raving about the people in Arkansas is totally uncalled for. both I-30 and 40 will take you completely out of Arkansas. i suggest using them.

I agree with a lot of the vehicles in this state are in horrible disrepair! I see so many vehicles with a busted headlight, barely legal tail lights, red tape on the lights, etc etc. We moved from New York to here, and to find there is no vehicle inspection required here is absurd. In New York, and most other states, there are very strict inspections on automobiles and this is not only for the safety for the owner of the vehicle but also innocent people on the street with them. We need to get the safety inspection going and I mean quick! And the Mexican people buying and towing junkers, I have seen so many on the side of the road on fire, ruining the road and causing major traffic delays. Come on Arkansas, we are better than that, this is the Natural State.

@ArkansasYankee.................DUDE I LOVE YOU!!! your comments are on the head and that is why people like to try and piss you off........they cant stand the fact that every comment you make is a mirror of them. I have driven a truck.yes an 18 wheeler for over 20 years no accidents no tickets and over 2 million miles.yes I AM BRAGGING.......but like Kid Rock says it aint COCKY if its RIGHT..........we as drivers have a responsibility to CHECK ALL OUR EQUPIMENT or if DOT catches us like in this instance we lose our job, license and freedom, because under a DOT reportable accident this would mean a charge or vehicular homoside, murder 2 manslaughter....... I can not understand why people will not take just 10 minutes out of their ho hum life and check the vehicle. ya dont have to be a mechanic to see a lose tire, low tire no lights or wpers working, worn tires busted tail pipe low oil NO GASSSSSSSSSS in the tank for gods sake. YES I AM A FEMALE.so all you puny wishywashy tittybaby chicks out there that think this is not your job or your too stupid to learn to check for these things,,, STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE DRIVER SEAT. ALL DRIVERS SHOULD HAVE TO TURN IN VI's vehicle inspections TO THEIR INSURANCE OR STATE EVERY WEEK we have to do inspections on our trks and trls EVERY TIME WE STOP!!!!!!!so what the hell please learn what makes the car go besides putting the key in and stomping on the gas or diesel which ever you have and yankee..STAY ON IT DUDE........I agree with you I too have lost many friends due to negligence of idiots and themselves also but mostly to idiots. I have driven in all 48 states, canada and mexico and next to driving in shaky town or atl..........pine bluff/arkansas in general has the stupidest rudest no concerning drivers in any of the larger states or metros

I am going to side with Arkansas Yankee. Drivers in this state are pitiful and poorly trained and informed. Most don't even know what YIELD means. They come to the top of the ramp and stop and look when they have a clear lane to continue driving in. Case and point, I-30 West and Alcoa Road South. Then there are the ones that are in such a hurry to pull out in front of you just to go 100 yards or less and turn into a Starbucks. Same Exit Different Direction. Another point. Texting. Just because you look down and text while driving doesn't make it okay and mean no one can see you doing it. That and your vehicle is not a rolling phone booth. Another point. Punk teenage boy this morning in Silver Chevy Impala. Pulls out of Salem Scott Road onto Salem Road with me about 40 feet from him rolling. Never stopped at the stop sign. Me in a full size four door gold silverado. I will warn you. I pay back people like this. I give driving lessons. He gets on the service road going east, sorry about your luck but yep you got cut off. Hope you spilled your dip cup in your lap before you went to school. Lesson number one. I have many years of driving experience in many. states and foreign countries plus I have trained many Marines and Civilians in vehicles all the way up to weights of 80 tons loaded on snow and ice above the arctic circle. So next time you see a gold silverado, four door with tool box and Marine Corps sticker on the back window and a Tennessee Walking Horse tag on the front, know that you shouldn't cut me off. Plus I have two 100 pound canines with me at all times. If you hurt them only God can save you. As for this accident, may that person rest in peace. Wheels come off for various reasons. An entire set came off of a dump truck on I65, crossed the interstate concrete divider and landed in the mans lap driving in the opposite direction. Killed instantly. Company's fault due to poor maintenance of equipment and records. They were fined and shut down.
