Channel Seven anchor Anne Pressly is in the hospital after someone beat her in her home. Little Rock police say Pressly has life threatening injuries. Right now they don't know who attacked her and investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.
Anne Pressly was last heard from between 9:30 and 10:30 Sunday night after being out with co-workers. Police say her mother couldn't reach her on the phone so she went to Anne's house around 4:30am. She found her daughter lying in bed, bleeding from severe wounds. Anne's neighbors are praying she pulls through.
"[I’m] sick, I wanted to throw up, I wanted to throw up," says neighbor Joey Sabb.
Little Rock police came to Joey Sabb's door early Monday morning asking if he had heard any commotion from next door. That's when Sabb found out someone beat his neighbor, KATV news anchor, Anne Pressly in here home.
"I just love her. How can you not love her, just raised right, trained right, got good morals never saw her with a bad crowd, first class girl and this happens," says Sabb.
Little Rock police spokesperson Sgt. Cassandra Davis says Pressly's mother called her early Monday morning and couldn't reach so she came over and found Anne lying in bed bleeding.
She’s now in serious condition at a local hospital. Investigators say it doesn't look like anyone forced their way inside Pressly's home. Although her purse is missing they aren't sure if this was a random robbery of if the person targeted Pressly.
"We do not have any police reports on file for miss Pressly. We are talking with neighbors, friends and co-workers to see if there was a person who had an unusual interest in Ms. Pressly whether good or bad,” Davis said.
