I'm Larry's niece, and my father and I have set up a memorial website in his honor. We would love for friends and family to leave memories of Larry in the Guestbook on the site, which you can visit here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/larrybillings/guestbook. Thank you so much for your thoughts in this difficult time. Larry touched many people and he is deeply missed.

Mr. Billings was my 8th grade history teacher at Fuller Junior High , and back in those days, he owned a local skating rink at that time as well. I hate to hear this terrible news. He was a very nice man. I hope and pray that they find the person responsible, and justice gets served.

RIP LARRY .. he was a great guy. I use to pretty much live in the skating rink as a kid and he even had gotten to the point where he remembered my name and treated me and my friends like family. he knew how to run a buisness... im deeply sadden by this news I pretty much grew up with Matt and kristen.. Their little brother was awesome. Just like larry.. I will pray for them. Stay strong because his memory is long lasting in conway. He really made a positive effect on the community.

I am so mad! I can't believe some low life took a harmless loving caring gentle persons life. That's some straight bs and I can't wait to find out who the j/a that done this. Larry gave me my first job at the age 13 working for him at the skating rink. I also babysitted his young boys for him. So when I heard this it hit me hard because larry was someone that the most of us grew up to know love and care about. He will be truely missed but not forgotten. R.I.P larry

That's awful! I hope they find who did this and I for sure hope they aren't "ruling out foul play" what the hell? sounds like nothing but foul play and that he was shot to make it look like he was robbed for his car. he might have had money so it's probably someone that knew him that did this..

Larry was a wonderful man who loved kids so much. I remember being at that rink every weekend as a kid. Then, as I grew up and came back to skating (as a roller derby player), Larry was encouraging and kind... For years, so many people in Conway just dropped off their kids at the rink and Larry watched after them, for hours on end... some of them for reasonable amounts of time and at reasonable ages, but others... well, Larry took care of a lot of throw away kids (which I think was a problem for the new owner...) and they always had a place to go, where they wouldn't be turned away, and where they were wanted! It breaks my heart to see that this has happened to him. Many people over the years complained about the rink because of the fact that it pretty much was a home for the wayward... he had a little trouble from time to time... but without him, these kids would have been on the street and Conway would have had more trouble (or more neglected kids). My heart goes out to Larry's family. I don't know you, but know this, he touched so many lives and hearts, and this made a difference to so many. I hope justice is served and that you find peace.

Sad day for Conway. I remember him much younger, but still the same Larry. Prayers going out for his family, our community, and for the law enforcement personnel who are working to find his killer.
