I-30 flooded near Pulaski-Saline county line (Latresha Woodruff)

Randy Ort, a spokesman for the state Highway and Transportation Department, said both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-30 were closed on Thursday near the Pulaski-Saline county line after water overflowing from Fourche Creek and its tributaries covered the highway.

A major problem, Ort said, is what would normally be an alternate route for that traffic, Arkansas Highway 5, is also covered with water and closed, bringing most northeast-southwest traffic in the area to a halt.

Captain Randy Hickman with the Little Rock Fire Department would like to remind drivers not to go around barricades.  Hickman says water is still rising in the city and roads continue to be dangerous.

We will keep an updated list of closed roads as reports come in. Check back often for updated closures.

Going around the flood water on 67 was insane tonight! I even had to drive through flood water on 161 which was at a crawl. I think taking 107 is the way to go. Hope 67 opens up soon!

I have a place on Jim Hall Road and everyone in the area says that this is the worst flooding they have seen since the mid 60s! One guy thinks that it's because of the construction on 67/167 or the new landfill by the 440 exit on 67/167. Is that even a possibility?

J'ville Cato flooded since Sherwood "took over" this area of Gravel Ridge. We never had this much flooding in the last 25 years before this bunch showed up.
