LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock police arrested 4 occupy members who refused to leave their downtown campsite Wednesday afternoon.
The deadline for the group to vacate was 7am on Wednesday. Police arrived around 2pm and began barricading and roping off the area, telling all inside to get out.
Four occupy members stayed inside, respectfully declining to leave. After a short conversation with the Police Chief Stuart Thomas, the 4 were arrested. Police say they will be charged with failure to disperse, a misdemeanor.
The 4 arrested are 47-year-old Amy Cicrello, 57-year-old Greg Deckelman, 54-year-old Glen Miller, and 27-year-old Jennifer Pierce. They were cited and released on their respective charges.
For the past two days, Deckelman has said he plans on filing a lawsuit after his arrest.
Occupiers plan to meet at the Clinton Library at 7pm Wednesday to discuss their next move. Deckelman said the group wanted to move their camp to a new site near MacArthur Park. It is not know if they have followed through with the application permit to do so.
