D.H.S is a joke its nothing more than a money machine. They send the child to counsuling at $60.00 per hour paid for by us. The agents make $50.00 per hour plus .25 cents per mile paid for by us. Which gives them incentive to snatch (kidnap) as many kids as they can with no care for the children at all. The people who work for DHS are heartless self rightous misfits.I do relize some children need to be taken Meth heads, drunk abusers etc. but i promise you 80% of children kidnapped need not be. I truly pray for the people of DHS when they meet there maker its going to be very hot for eternity for every one of them.

Kids can and DO get away from you in one second or less. When my son was 3 he was an escape artist - had to watch him with an eagle eye ALL the time. We had locks (plural) installed at the top of our doors, at the bottom of our doors, and in the middle of our doors! We had to double baby gate him in his room at nite. He climbed over that so we double-tripled the baby gates. Broke a hole in the drywall trying to get out. One day, to our amazement, we turned around, and he had a stepstool, books , toys, WHATEVER he could find, stacked up and reaching for the top locks!!! Another day, he slipped out so fast, he was so fast - my husband was rolling over laughing watching me run after him down the sidewalk. That little burger could run!!! But - we Never took a nap while he was up - and running - NEVER - not with his track record! Thank God he is grown - in the Army now - and - running every day to stay in shape for PT's.

Better story and picture in the the Conway paper. To bad she was a dunce. Sleeping on the job. Yes it was not the parents but the sitter. Parents please run checks and ask for work background. Lives right close to my son and his wife. We know not to hire her. Nice enough looking gal. Can't judge a book by it's cover.

Around 1977 or 78 when I was a kid (11 years old), my baby brother who I guess was around 2 or 3 year old unlock the door while my mother was asleep and wander towards a the streets. I just happen to wake up or it has to be an Angel from God woke me were I notice the side door was left open and I could hear cars honking and driving extremely slow as they pass. I look outside and notice my baby brother standing about a block away on the sidewalk wearing nothing but a pamper. No time to get dress, I dash outside wearing nothing but my white underwear (briefs) to retrieve my brother and bring him back home. After reading some of the comments I think to myself...these things really do happen. Is this a dangerous situation for the child yes, because my heart was beating fast when I seen him standing near the busy street watching as the cars passed by, does this mean my mother was a bad parent? My mother was sleeping for heaven sake... and it not like my mother open up the door and told my kid brother to be on your way. People has to stop being so quick to judge without looking at the whole facts. Babysitter could have been washing clothes left the kid on the couch watching tv and little JR decided to open the door and go for a stroll. Therefore I agree with Layla37 on this one, for the rest of you, I'm really lost for words.

Okay..reading this short and not so detailed story, it reads the babysitter is facing child endangerment charges. I wouldn't blame the parents just yet, the story says nothing about the parents. Sounds like the child was in the care of the babysitter. I wish the story had more details however the positive thing is that the boy is safe now.

kind of parent would let a child get out and walk the streets. They should not have children, cut them and then they can do what they want and a child will not suffer. This is inhuman anything could have happened to this child.

Whats shocking is that no one, not even a parent, has called police saying a toddler is missing. The parent/guardian is probably still laid up in bed.
