LITTLE ROCK, AR – Allen Dunham lives about 100 away from the spot on Highway 7, just north of Bismarck, where three cars collided last night - killing 5 people and injuring another two.

"It was horrifying. It really was,” Dunham said. “And my son and me could not sleep all night. I don't, I'm sorry."

Police say the crash happened when a Chevy Trailblazer traveling north on Highway 7 and being driven by 37-year-old Brandy Kizziar crossed into the southbound lane and hit a Chevy pick-up truck head on.

A third vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, then rear ended the pick-up.

Kizziar died in the wreck as did four of the five people in the pick-up truck: 41-year-old Edgar Martinez, 40-year-old Eva Martinez, 16-year-old Jose Hernandez, and 2-year-old Chris Rocha. Lacero Ramos is a friend of the Martinez family.

"We feel real bad and I hope Jesus has him over there with family now," Ramos said.

Dunham says he feels bad too. Also, he hopes people driving down highway seven learn from the crash and slow down, saying these lives didn't have to be lost.

"The accident was bad, and this close to the holidays, I don’t know what to say, I really don't."

The investigation is ongoing.

I too have lived in many States and have never seen such bad driving until I moved here. Granted, I'm sure its worse in NY but either way AR. needs to enforce more stricked laws. Slow the speed zone down in these areas of curvy mtn roads. This is so sad and we are the ones to blame. People speed, drink n drive, txt n drive and just don't care for themselves or others on the road. My prayers are with the familes.

I'm not going to damn anyone for posting on here; but you could have simply called the ASP to get that info instead of posting such a question on this story; it was in bad taste. As Bernie mentioned; I too am wondering if it was the same vehicle; and if alcohol was involved. After all, it's legally sold to anyone over 21. Or was she texting? Lot's of guestions concerning this accident; I hope they keep us updated.

My thoughts and prayers for the family's involved. LSSLSM is right; if I remember correctly, head ons were the number one cause of traffic fatalities in AR. And it's going to get worse; the more tech they put in cars to distract you, the more tech you use while driving - will just add to the other problems that cause people to drift over into the other lane; such as the legal beverages they sell in liquour stores, and the pills the medical industry pushes on people.

How sad can life get !?!?! Lived in a few states in my lifetime. Have never seen so many people than AR drivers drive in your lane!!! And then they give you the evil eye like it was your fault! And it seems to be getting worse.

i strongly agree to Anger101. do you realize what kind affect one death can have on anybody? Almost our entire school is practically mourning their deaths. Enjoy your petty little roads.
