There is less than 24 hours before the big game between Benton and Bryant. It's our Friday Night Tailgate game of the week, but underage drinking at a weekend party could spell trouble for the team.  We're told some football players were at the party drinking, and that means they may be sitting on the bench Friday.

"Jocks from the Benton Football team, they were they drinking," said Justin Morrella.

Justin Morrella says the party is the talk of the town. Saturday, Saline County Sheriff's deputies had their hands full when they busted a massive party near Salt Creek Road, everyone at the party were minors who ranged in age from 15 to 17.

We've confirmed that 80 to 100 students attended Saturday's party. Twenty tested positive for alcohol and were taken to the police department. Half of them were involved in some sort of extra curricular activity, which includes football and cheerleading.

Benton School Superintendent Dr. Tony Prothro says students can't be suspended from school because the party was off school grounds, but says that doesn't mean their getting off scott free. Which means they could be forced to sit out Friday's big Salt Bowl game.

"That would be up to the coach's, supervisors, based on, rules, level of conduct," said Dr. Tony Prothro. Jennifer asks,"So we don't know if football players, cheerleaders will be suspended for the Salt Bowl game tomorrow?"

"Coaches are undergoing disciplinary actions, and that may have already taken place, " said Dr. Tony Prothro. "Some of the players aren't going to be able to play in the game. Bad news for the Salt Bowl Game? Yeah," said Morrella.
