Update (July 19):
SHERWOOD, AR - A North Little Rock woman has turned herself in for a March hit-and-run accident in Sherwood that killed a three-year-old boy.

Kyisha Durham, 27, is charged with negligent homicide and failure to render aid by leaving the scene of a fatality accident.

Jaylen Diggs, 3, died after being hit by a car in the parking lot of the Park Crest Apartments complex on Manson Road.

Sherwood Police say that during the investigation it was determined that Durham was the driver of the red Chevrolet Tahoe, which was registered to her mother.

Durham turned herself in at the Sherwood Police Department this morning, where she was booked and released on $5,000 bond after appearing in District Court.

Original story (May 15):
PULASKI COUNTY, AR -- The family of a three-year-old boy killed in a hit and run said they are patiently waiting for justice.

On March 11, Jaylen Diggs was hit while heading outside to play at a Sherwood apartment complex.  He died two days later.

The driver who hit Jaylen didn't stop.

Sherwood police did find the SUV involved in the accident, but the prosecutor has not filed any charges against anyone.

Jaylen's mother still has questions.

The family said they believe they know the person behind the wheel of that SUV.

"Who would do this?  Why would they do this?  What had he done wrong for this?," asked Jaylen's mother Imunique Ruiz.
