Update: Fatal Gunshot of White Co. Man Was Accidental, Self Inflicted

The White County Sheriff's Office has released information this evening that the single gunshot which killed a 20-year-old man was self inflicted.

ROMANCE, AR -- The White County Sheriff's Office has released information this evening that the single gunshot which killed a 20-year-old man was self inflicted.

Information and details from interviews with witnesses as well as evidence and preliminary autopsy results have concluded the investigation into Donald Fletcher Rouse's death.

Police do not expect any arrests to be made, however, a complete investigative file including full autopsy and toxicology results will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for further review.

ROMANCE, AR -- Officials have released the name of the man who was found dead early Wednesday morning.

The White County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) says 20-year-old Donald Fletcher Rouse, of Romance, was found dead in the front yard of a home on Swink Lane after having suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Rouse has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the exact cause of death, and WCSO says they are still investigating to determine whether or not alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

Detectives are currently looking for a person of interest they have identified as a potential witness, according to WCSO.

ROMANCE, AR - A man is dead after an early morning shooting incident.

Deputies with the White County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) were called to the scene around 2:30 on Swink Lane.

That's where a victim described as a white male was found dead in the front yard.

The man's identity has not yet been released.

WCSO detectives are continuing to investigate and will release further information as it becomes available.
