Update: Most road conditions improving, I-30 moving again

Traffic that was being diverted eastbound traffic off Interstate 30 eastbound to U.S. Highway 67 has now been moved back to I-30, though it is still moving slowly.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Traffic that was being diverted eastbound traffic off Interstate 30 eastbound to U.S. Highway 67 has now been moved back to I-30, though it is still moving slowly.

Arkansas State Troopers are reporting traffic conditions to be much improved in the Little Rock metropolitan and central Arkansas area this morning compared to yesterday.

Scattered reports of vehicles off the roadway are being reported through the north interchange and I-40 & I-440 areas.

Some delays are expected this morning during the morning commute hours. It has been this stretch of highway, on both east and west lanes, where the worst traffic problems have occurred since Sunday when snow blanketed much of the state.

Driving conditions across the state on I-40 are reported by State Troopers to be good to fair conditions with scattered reports of vehicles that have lost control on icy spots and left the highways. Overnight the extreme cold temperatures have left bridges with a coat of ice. Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department crews have worked through the night spreading sand to help motorists in these areas.

Elsewhere along Arkansas highways State Troopers are reporting few, if any problems, but caution motorists who venture out this morning to use extreme caution and allow extra time for their travel plans as delays are expected to occur due to collisions and slow moving traffic.
