Pine Bluff Police responded to an armed robbery at the Family Dollar Store located at 3100 West 28th Avenue. They have identified the suspect as 31-year-old Terrance Mario Sanders
Officers arrived on the scene at 8:15AM, where they found the store manager. She reported being at the checkout counter when Sanders entered the store and brought some washing detergent to the counter.
Sanders first placed the merchandise on the counter. Then, he placed his hands on it, pointing a gun at the store manager. He then demanded money from the register and the safe. She told him that the safe was on a time lock and could not be opened. Sanders then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot in a southwesterly direction.
The manager describes the weapon as a blue steel revolver.
Sanders is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5”9, with long braided hair. He was wearing a black coat with red numbers on it. One of the red numbers was a “3.”
He has also been in the area of the Chester Hines Community Center on Hazel Street and in the 2900 Block of Fir Street near an apartment complex.
