One of the nation's most powerful leaders was in Little Rock Saturday night, Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden is here to help Senator Blanche Lincoln kick off her re-election bid. Over eight hundred people showed up to get a Glimpse of Vice President Joe Biden.

For $150 a piece his supporters showed up in numbers. But he is not the only political leader they are supporting.

The Air Force 2 jet touched ground at the Little Rock Airport at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. A very important passenger is the center of attention. Vice President Biden greets special guests and gets a warm welcome from Senator Blanche Lincoln, Senator Mark Pryor and Governor Mike Beebe.

Ten year old Preston Corbin from Texarkana got a one on one.

"He said he is very happy to see me. I was so happy he shook my and," the 10 year old said.

Mr. Biden came to Little Rock at Senator Lincoln's request. Over 800 people filled the Peabody for a reception in her honor but Biden was the guest of honor.

"They are friends and she's very proud to have the Vice President here. It's his first time to Arkansas since he became Vice-President," said Steve Patterson, Lincoln's campaign manager.

Not everyone is cheering. Outside of the reception, a group called Campaign for Liberty protested the fundraiser saying Lincoln supported bailouts for Wall Street.

Lincoln says that improving health care is among her priorities. So is help for farmers.

The Vice President says he and President Obama have no doubt the country will overcome its economic woes.

People never cease to amaze me sometimes. I said it before...I will say it again...if McCain would have been elected in office and he was doing the same things our President is doing...people wouldn't have anything negative to say about it....why??? Well I don't have to say it b/c I'm sure everyone knows. So immature. rrrrmadeup I second that CONSERVE-A-DUMMIES statement. Couldn't have put it better myself. Why don't allllll of the dummies meet up with Bush and go screw things up among yourselves and let the rest of us move on.

WE welcome you Mr. Vice President. Excuse some of our CONSERVE-A-DUMMIES in Arkansas. They don’t know any better. Just look at our education rate compared to Mississippi. They still believe that George Bush was the best thing that happened to this country. He is the only reason this country is the way it is today. Don’t forget that he lowered taxes in time of war. That’s equivalent to spending money without any coming in just because you have over draft protections (China). And don’t forget that people couldn’t pay their mortgages because they were busy trying to make money just to put gas in their cars. (Yeah I know, blame it on the people who couldn’t afford to pay their mortgage!!!) Take a good look at how their mortgages were rewarded. Don’t forget all the no bid contracts awarded to all of the Texas Cowboy Crew to do absolutely nothing in Iraq.

I have heard more people complaining about our elected officials in the last few months with all these outrageous programs and taxes being implemented. I have no intention of voting for any incumbents and I deeply hope no one else does...it is time for us to show these people we elect that we are tired of the pathetic way our country is being run....I have always voted and intend to keep on doing so but the next election I will not vote for any who are in office today, state or national....our country's best interests are not being served...illegal immigrants being allowed access to our Social Security....ILLEGAL is the problem I have with that...they are not even here legally....taxing cigarettes and not doing much about Mexico's drug wars bleeding over our borders...bailing out banks and letting our car industries be put out of business by foreign competition...how many of you realize that these other countries add penalties to our products being sold in their countries to force their citizens to buy their own, and we do not do that to any other country....how is that right to our American workers? Illegals can get Medicaid, working Americans can't....Illegals can get foodstamps...most working Americans do not qualify...is there any wonder we are burned out by our elected officials....

Vice president, who? of what? Oh yeah, the guy who ran with our country's first Amerian "mutt", elected as president. Even if I had the $150.00 for a plate of food...I sure as hell wouldn't want my money going towards Blanche Lincoln's re-election fund...our state liberal democrat. She and the other state officials are ALL brown nosing Obama, to get what they want in Washington. Blanche is out for, Blanche, I assure you, just like the rest of the liberal Nazi Democrats of Washington, who PREFER socialistic policies, reforms, BIG and BIGGER government who spend all of the American tax payer's to meet their own greedy agendas. Inpeach the entire bunch of these BIG SPENDERS of Washington and get someone in there that KNOW how to stimulate our economy, has EXPERIENCE at stimulating our economy, and how has our state, country, and country's economy, in their BEST interests, which is NOT our current state officials who represent us in Washington, and Beebee, and our current state officials in LR! Wake up, Arkansas! Get rid of these Liberals who spend your money with THEIR big money wasting agendas, and who Tax us all to death!
