Victim of Bus Shooting Wants Shooter to Learn from Mistake

The victim hit by a pellet while on the bus ride home says she hopes the shooter learns something from this experience.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A high school student slightly injured by a pellet from a BB gun while on the bus ride home this week, says she hopes the shooter learns something from this experience.

Fifteen-year-old Lateicia Harris was treated for swelling but is doing fine. She said she was almost at her bus stop when the pellet shattered the bus window and grazed her cheek.

The Parkview High School freshman wants the shooter to be found and prosecuted, but she finds comfort in knowing this could have been worse.

"I just thank God it wasn't a real gun because if it was I could have gotten hurt. The pellet hurt but not like a real gun could have," Harris said.

Harris rode the bus the day after the shooting.  If you have any information on suspects, call the Little Rock Police Department or the school district.
