LITTLE ROCK, AR - Sikhs in the Little Rock community finally felt a sense of peace, Friday night, as hundreds of people gathered on the steps of the State Capitol for a moment of remembrance for the six victims of the August 5th Sikh Temple shooting in Wisconsin.

The gathering filled with glow sticks was much more than a vigil. It was a group of people from all religions shining a light on the importance of religious freedom.

"We have to fight for it every day," said event organizer Siva Soora. "There are going to be different incidences, different things that take away from these freedoms, and we have to remind everybody this is what we stand for."

Six died and four were injured when investigators say a white supremacist opened fire on worshipers in a Wisconsin Sikh temple earlier this month.

"This incident that happened at this Wisconsin temple could have very easily happened to any community, any faith, any religion," said Soora. "We have the democracy and the freedom to make this country a better place."

Even if it is just one glow stick at a time.
