Volunteer Search Organized for Missing Walnut Ridge Teen

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and Walnut Ridge Police Department are planning a volunteer search for 14-year-old Sidney Randall, who has been missing since March 9.
WALNUT RIDGE, AR -- The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and Walnut Ridge Police Department are planning a volunteer search for 14-year-old Sidney Randall, who has been missing since March 9.

Volunteers are asked to gather at the Walnut Ridge Police Department at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, where a briefing will be conducted by the search coordinator before teams are released into the field.

Those who are willing to volunteer will be asked to search specific areas in the county, and will need to sign in before being assigned a search area, and notify the coordinator when the area is cleared.

"We need as many able-bodied searchers as we can get, we have a large area to search," said Sheriff Jody Dotson. "We encourage searchers with all-terrain vehicles to bring them, they will come in very handy throughout the day."

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Dive Team will be out as well, searching bodies of water in the county. Any searcher with a small boat is welcome to bring their boat and will be assigned to an area of water.

Anyone wanting to volunteer can contact Search Coordinator Buddy Williams with the LCSO directly at 870-844-2901. This phone number will now be used for volunteer search information for the duration of the case.

"We ask if you use social media, please repost this for us and for Sidney, we need as many people as we can get for this search," Sheriff Dotson said.
