I don't care, but I hate to think that this remark is true,...if so, I would hate to depend upon alcohol for anything POSITIVE...."One community leader thinks allowing alcohol sales across the entire county could be the key economic development" KEY TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT....While I don't think being a dry county keeps the alcoholics sober, alcohol is certainly not worthy of being a key to economic development. hahahaha

My guess is that some money is ready to develop alcohol outlets. They already know who will be the business owners and it probably isn't new entreprenuers either...same ol same ol. Me, I don't care.

Me I'm just a wino. What sets me apart from a drunk is I just drink wine. A drunk will drink anything. Make it at home. No driving. No wet or dry. Open 24 7.

ArkYank- You never take one Baptist fishing, he will drink all of your beer. But, if you take two Baptists fishing they neither one will drink any beer and you will have plenty for yourself

The whole state should go wet. You can tell were the dry and wet counties lie, all wet counties have liquor stores right next to dry counties. all of them. Being a dry county does not keep drinking down, just makes it longer for someone to be on the road.

Jax has liquor stores just outside the city limits on both sides. Don't need anymore. BUT; when I first moved back here, went into a mexican restaurant and ordered up some good food, and a cold one. Sorry, no cold one's allowed. You gotta be kidding me; mexican food without a cold one! Unheard of in Mexico, AZ, and TX! Next stop, a pizza joint. Again; ordered up a pie and a cold one; again, no cold one. You gotta be kidding me! Pizza and no beer! That' just wrong. I don't imbibe in alcohol any longer; but I don't eat in those places either. Moral majority my rear end. Do ya'll know what the difference between a Catholic and a Baptist is? Catholics say hi to each other in the liquor store. LOL
