WARD, AR – Officials from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing incident.
According to reports, around 8:30pm on February 2, police received a call abut a disturbance at a residence on South Parakeet in Ward. When they arrived, police spoke with the suspect, 21-year-old Shawn Anthony Allen, who reportedly appeared to be intoxicated. Allen told police that he was at a residence located on Highway #31 North where he got into a fight with two other individuals and was struck in the face with an unknown object.
Police say around 10:20pm, they received a report of a male subject at UAMS Hospital with a stab wound to the upper left shoulder. The 28-year-old victim told police that he had been stabbed by Allen during a dispute. Allen was arrested for second degree battery and was taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
