A woman accused of hitting and killing a bicycle rider with her car turned herself into authorities Tuesday.

Police say that Pat Booth arrived at the Pulaski County Jail with her attorney Tuesday afternoon. She was given a citation and allowed to leave.

Investigators say that the 64-year-old Booth ran a red light and hit Marilyn Fulper last June. Fulper died from her injuries later that day.

Booth is being charged with Negligent Homicide, which is a class “A” Misdemeanor. Booth faces a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

accidents do happen....when you are the victim you see it different than if you caused the accident...I don't believe anyone would ever mean to take a life...but people become so preoccupied they sometimes black-out on what's going on around them...the lady that hit the bicycle rider probably hasn't had much peace since the accident happened...I feel so bad for all parties.

Just another stupid self-involved driver who doesn't give a damn about anyone else but herself. I gave up riding 10 years ago because of too many close calls from idiots like her.
