Woman stabbed to death, husband charged

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A fight between a husband and wife turns deadly. Now the husband faces a capital murder charge.

It happened Saturday afternoon on Huntley Trail Road in Jefferson County.

Deputies say George Cage stabbed his wife, Mendi Bell, at the home.

Investigators tell FOX16 that Cage called 9-1-1 and told them he shot her but they only found stab wounds.

Bell died on the way to the hospital.

Deputies say two kids were at the home but Cage locked them out. They were not harmed.

Cage is now being held without bond.
