Lonoke Woman Wants Peace After Mom's Unsolved Death

- LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A central Arkansas woman is struggling to find answers after her mother's suspicious death.

Brooke Roach can't stop thinking about her mom, Debra.

"She loved to laugh and make jokes," Roach said.

But what happened to Debra is still unknown.

She went missing on West Mountain Spring Road of Lonoke County in October 2006.

Her body was discovered in a wooded area three weeks later.

However, the Lonoke County Sheriff's office says because of decomposition, medical examiners could not find out how she died.

"Sometimes she would go to my grandma's and stay the night, but she would always write us a note or leave us some information to let us know, but she didn't," Roach said.

Brooke wants to keep the case in the public eye with hopes someone will come forward with new information.

"I don't feel any closure whatsoever after what happened," said Brooke.

Investigators cannot say whether foul play was involved because of the body's condition when it was found.

Last year, a part-time investigator was assigned to the case, but that person did not find any evidence.
