Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado left Monday night's game against the Yankees after suffering an apparent knee injury.
Machado collapsed at the plate and clutched his right knee after hitting a broken-bat grounder to shortstop in the third inning. He needed help walking off the field.
Machado was an All-Star last year but missed the last week of the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee. He made his season debut this year on May 1.
First baseman Chris Davis entered the game to play third for the Orioles.
